Local authorities have intensified efforts to ensure that the distribution of Ramadan relief is conducted in a respectful and orderly manner, with a strong focus on maintaining citizens’ dignity and eliminating long queues.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ejaz, all Assistant Commissioners have been deployed in the field to supervise operations at designated Ramadan camps. Distribution centers established across all tehsils of Lahore are currently fully operational.
Officials are closely monitoring staff attendance, cleanliness standards, and crowd management at the centers. Special attention is being given to the provision of separate entry routes for women to ensure convenience and privacy.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed that every visitor to the relief camps must be treated with respect and that queues should not be allowed to form under any circumstances. Maintaining discipline and smooth operations at distribution points has been made a priority.
He further instructed that cleanliness standards must be maintained round the clock, while dedicated arrangements for women and elderly citizens should remain in place to facilitate easy access and minimize discomfort.
Authorities say the strengthened monitoring aims to improve the overall distribution experience and prevent the administrative challenges observed in previous relief efforts.
