UAE Announces Official Working Hours for Ramadan 2026

The United Arab Emirates has officially announced special working hours for federal ministries and government departments ahead of Ramadan 2026.

The revised schedule aims to facilitate employees during the holy month, allowing more time for prayers, iftar, and other religious activities.

Official Ramadan Working Hours

According to the announcement:

📅 Monday to Thursday

9:00 AM to 2:30 PM

📅 Friday

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Work From Home Option

Authorities have stated that:

  • Up to 70% of employees may be allowed to work from home on Fridays.

  • This will be subject to the approved regulations of each federal entity.

For departments operating on shift systems, working hours will be determined internally based on operational requirements.

When Will Ramadan Begin?

Ramadan in most Arab countries is expected to begin on 19 February 2026, subject to official moon sighting confirmation.
