Reason Behind the Power Outages

According to an IESCO spokesperson, technical issues in the power generation system have temporarily reduced electricity availability, leaving supply lower than current demand. As a result, need-based load shedding is being carried out across the company’s entire service area.

IESCO’s Official Statement

The spokesperson stated that uninterrupted power supply will be restored as soon as electricity generation stabilizes and demand can be fully met. He added that the company is fully aware of the inconvenience being faced by consumers and is actively working to manage the situation efficiently.

Apology and Consumer Advisory

IESCO apologized to electricity consumers for the disruption and requested their cooperation during this temporary phase. The company assured residents that the load management measures are short-term and aimed at balancing supply until generation improves.

What Consumers Should Expect

  • Temporary and need-based load shedding

  • Gradual improvement as power generation stabilizes

  • Restoration of normal supply once demand and availability align
